About the Role

This is a full-time role with a work schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Flexible hours such as early, late, and weekend shifts may be required. Work restrictions include not allowing medical marijuana cards and undergoing random drug testing on all employees.

Responsibilities

• Testing of compounded sterile and non-sterile pharmaceuticals
• Sterility, fungal, and endotoxin testing
• Identification and isolation of microorganisms
• Participate in discussions with scientific and business development personnel to assess technical and operational issues
• Take client calls and assist them with technical details of testing
• Reporting of results
• Aid laboratory personnel in daily activities to maintain high scientific quality and compliance with SOPs, cGMP protocols, and safety standards
• Mentor and assist in the development of other laboratory personnel

Requirements

• An AS degree in Microbiology or related science with 4+ years industrial experience OR
• A BS degree in Microbiology or related science with 3+ years industrial experience OR
• A PhD degree in Microbiology or related science with 1+ years industrial experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology with 3+ years industrial experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry is preferred
• Ability to collaborate and work well with others

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology with 3+ years industrial experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry is preferred
