This position is based at our factory in Greenwood, IN.

Pay

$31.94 per hour, increasing to $32.44 after 90 days and $32.94 after 180 days upon successful review.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM EST. Ability to work holidays and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the microbiological program complies with company standards and all State and Federal regulations.
• Collect daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual micro samples for internal and external lab testing.
• Isolate and culture microorganisms, identifying them through examination.
• Coordinate sampling with sanitation activities and production schedules to maintain compliance with the microbiological program.
• Manage all micro documentation and review root cause analysis for out-of-spec micro results.
• Maintain micro programs in an audit-ready state and manage line health programs.
• Participate in proficiency testing programs.
• Adhere to Primo Brands’ sampling plan and manage all related documentation.
• Support internal and external audits, providing sustainable corrective and preventive actions for gaps.
• Trend analytical data and perform root cause analysis.
• Lead and teach factory employees in quality control systems.
• Maintain all SOPs relevant to the position.
• Provide backup support for QA positions.
• Monitor and implement GMP standards.
• Assist with consumer complaint processing and reporting.
• Participate in and maintain the sensory program as needed.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology, or a related science, or demonstrated equivalent experience in a microbiology lab.
• Understanding of quality systems and processes.
• Experience with standard analytical methods for microbiology, troubleshooting microbiological issues, and familiarity with pathogens, molds, and spoilage microorganisms.
• Prior experience performing internal quality audits and maintaining micro programs in an audit-ready state.
• Understanding of microbiological testing and operation of related lab equipment.
• Ability to track and trend micro data and testing results.
• Knowledge of EPA and FDA regulations is desired.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of organization.
• Ability to learn and adapt to changing environments.
• Flexibility with work hours to accommodate production demands.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office systems.
• Strong English language skills for effective communication with customers and team members.
