Micro- School Assistant Teacher

About the role

The Assistant Teacher role at Flourish Schools is a hands-on, relationship-driven position at the Maricopa campus. You will work alongside two lead teachers, supporting students throughout the school day in a supportive, dynamic learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Support lead teachers throughout the school day across instructional and non-instructional activities
• Work directly with students individually and in small groups to reinforce learning
• Help facilitate project-based learning activities and keep students on track
• Build genuine relationships with students and contribute to a positive, growth-oriented campus culture
• Assist with classroom logistics, transitions, and day-to-day campus operations
• Collaborate closely with the teaching team to support student success

Requirements

• A genuine love for working with middle schoolers (grades 3–8)
• Patience, flexibility, and a growth mindset — this is not a traditional school setting
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with students from diverse backgrounds
• Reliability and a team-first attitude; our small campuses depend on every person showing up
• Prior experience working with children or youth in any capacity is a plus
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required; some college coursework in education or a related field preferred

$35,000 - $40,000 annually
