About the role

The Navy Exchange Naval Base Kitsap is seeking a Micro Market Associate to support the needs of service members and their families. Located in Silverdale, this position offers an engaging and dynamic work environment where you can make a difference.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Exchange-owned Micro markets daily, performing inspections and replenishing products.
• Greet and engage with customers during the selection of merchandise.
• Collect money from vending machines, micro market kiosks, or other miscellaneous machines.
• Turn-in money bags daily from Cash Handling Clerks after counting and verifying cash receipts.
• Operate motor vehicles as part of the job duties.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship
• Valid state driver's license
• Pass a pre-employment criminal & motor vehicle background check
• Knowledge and skills necessary to perform job duties
• Pass the GSA defensive driving course

Qualifications

• One year progressive responsible clerical office or retail sales work
• Half-year of academic study above the high school level may be substituted for each 6 months of general experience requirement
• One year of progressively responsible experience in retail sales, vending store operations, and warehouse management
• Frequent standing, walking, and lifting of moderately heavy objects weighing up to 40 lbs
