MI Distribution Center Part-Time Picker/Packer (3:00pm-7:00pm Shift)

About the role

Picker Packers are detail-oriented team members who fill orders in a warehouse setting. They help manage warehouse inventory and package goods, performing many different job functions to facilitate an efficient warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Pick orders by processing order tickets, completing required paperwork, locating items in the warehouse, moving them to the processing and shipping area, and scanning their barcode.
• Pack orders by inspecting items for damage, counting each piece, checking for missing items, packaging them according to specifications, and transporting them carefully to shipping facilities.
• Maintain warehouse inventory by arranging boxes, ensuring they are stored safely, tracking all orders, packaging, and shipping to ensure accurate inventory records, and maintaining general warehouse cleanliness.

Requirements

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to stand for 4+ hours daily and lift and carry heavy objects up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Quality verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with basic computer applications.
• Able to move quickly and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ensure all safety and security rules are followed.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and possess effective communication skills.
• Microsoft experience.
• Warehouse experience a plus.
• Ability to read orders and labels.
• Perform other warehouse duties as needed.

Picker Packers are detail-oriented problem solvers who can think quantitatively and notice defects and errors quickly. They must act quickly and decisively in a fast-paced environment and possess great communication skills to work effectively as part of a diverse team in the supply chain.
