Distribution Center Specialist - Part-Time Saturday and Sunday only - Picking/Packing/Loading

About the role

The Container Store Distribution Center Direct to Consumer department is seeking Pickers/Packers/Loaders to join our e‑commerce team. In this full‑time position you will use cutting‑edge technology and powered equipment to pick and pack orders accurately and swiftly, ensuring every package meets high standards. You will work with computer‑based programs, voice picking systems, and multi‑level picking modules to streamline order processing and exceed customer expectations.

Schedule

Saturday 6:00 am – 4:30 pm and Sunday 6:00 am – 4:30 pm (full‑time hours).

Responsibilities

• Follow standardized work for picking, packing, loading, and cutting procedures.
• Consistently meet time‑based productivity standards.
• Utilize the voice picking system to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure correct quantity and quality of items are picked/packed for each order.
• Work comfortably in multi‑level picking modules and around conveyor systems.
• Maintain a safe work area and adhere to safety policies and procedures.
• Support and work in various departments throughout the Distribution Center.
• Operate in a non‑climate‑controlled environment while maintaining inventory accuracy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Proficiency in operating walkie rider and stock chaser.
• Experience in a highly automated distribution environment is a plus.
• Knowledge of labor management systems, RF devices, and voice picking preferred.
• Ability to use pneumatic tools and cut metal to precision.
• Strong spatial awareness for efficient, secure packaging and optimal space utilization.
• Must stand 100% of the time and walk ~50% of the time; able to lift up to 47 lb independently.
• Proficiency with computer skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage picking/packing tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
• Reliability in arriving on time and flexibility to work additional hours as business needs change.
