MHV Marketing Intern

About the role

MHV Marketing Intern assists the marketing department in their advertising and promotional efforts. Their main duties include completing clerical and administrative tasks, building social media campaigns, and preparing promotional materials and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure personal and team safety
• Support the marketing team in daily administrative tasks
• Aid in marketing and advertising promotional activities (e.g., social media, direct mail, and web)
• Create and prepare promotional presentations
• Distribute marketing materials
• Manage and update company database and CRM systems
• Assist with the design and execution of social media campaigns
• Create weekly and monthly editorial calendars for promoting company brands on various social media websites
• Track social media engagement to identify high-performing ideas and campaigns for scalability
• Support the marketing team at live and online events
• Follow up with vendors, coordinate shipping, and verify payments for marketing orders
• Coordinate the distribution of literature and marketing promotional materials to field sales
• Communicate with the marketing manager for internal and external communications, and organize marketing events

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Marketing-focused degree at a 4- or 2-year college
• Mastery of major social media platforms including Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, Snap, and Google+
• Experience with social media analytics software such as Facebook Insights, Google Analytics, and Twitter Analytics
• Knowledge of content management systems, word processing applications, and image/video editing software
• Verbal and written professionalism
• Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
• Strong internet navigation skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks through to completion in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work well with team members as well as independently
• Strong organizational skills
• Proven problem-solving abilities
• Attention-to-detail and high-level of accuracy required

Physical Demands

• Stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear
• Close and distance vision needed for computer use
• Ability to use hands to write, type on a keyboard, use a computer, use office equipment, and use the telephone
• Ability to work 8-10 hour shifts, up to 40 hours per week
• Approximately 90% of time spent in an office environment and approximately 10% in a manufacturing environment
• Must dress and present oneself in a professional manner
• Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 20 pounds
