About the role
Third Way Center is seeking full-time mental health counselors to work as members of a multidisciplinary treatment team at one of our residential facilities serving high-risk youth ages 13-20. Our mission is to provide a continuum of services in a home-like environment where at-risk youth can work through their traumas, learn to take responsibility for their actions and lives, and become productive members of society. Mental health counselors are active members of the treatment team, carrying out programmatic goals and working with youth on their individual treatment goals.
Responsibilities
- Milieu management, including counseling and crisis intervention when needed
- Knowledge of the histories and treatment plans for all youth to provide individualized care
- Teach skills based on youth’s current abilities to enhance normalization and self-determination
- Work as part of a team and follow direction utilizing residents' treatment plans
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in social work or a related field (two years of experience may substitute for educational requirements)
- Current valid Colorado driver’s license with a clean driving record (no DUI/DWAI in the last five years)
- Clean criminal record
- At least 22 years of age
- Ability to obtain QMAP and CPR/First Aid certification
- Must pass an extensive background and DMV check
- Compliance with Federal Drug Screening laws

Schedule
This is a residential treatment position with 24/7/365 operations, requiring evening and weekend hours.
