About the role

This full-time, onsite position is based in Miami, Florida (100 Biscayne Blvd) and reports to the Senior Manager, Procurement. The role is not eligible for work authorization sponsorship.

The Manager, Project Procurement leads the planning, execution, and monitoring of procurement projects, including the procurement of materials, equipment, services, and subcontracting activities for Newbuild, Fleet Modernization, or Private Destinations projects. This role involves large-scale, multi-year, complex contracting and collaboration with multi-site teams. The incumbent directly supervises a procurement team, ensuring alignment with business priorities and driving cost-effective operations through strong sourcing, contractual writing, and negotiating skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the procurement of materials, equipment, services, and subcontracts for Newbuild and Fleet Solutions projects.
  • Manage a procurement task force team, ensuring alignment with project strategy and goals through effective supplier relationships.
  • Coach, develop, and mentor assigned procurement team members to strengthen capabilities, support career growth, and drive high performance.
  • Set team objectives, monitor progress, conduct performance reviews, and provide timely feedback aligned with departmental goals.
  • Allocate workload, prioritize assignments, and ensure appropriate coverage across project procurement activities and deliverables.
  • Mentor team members on procurement strategy, supplier management, negotiation approach, stakeholder engagement, and project execution best practices.
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training activities to build and maintain a capable, engaged procurement team.
  • Challenge technical specifications, commercial practices, operating practices, and business processes to drive cost control and efficiency.
  • Oversee the efficient and effective material control of project procurement requirements from planning through sourcing, expediting, transport, and receipt.
  • Serve as the single point of contact between the Supply Chain Team and the project team for assigned project(s).
  • Lead timely resolution of sophisticated supplier issues.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Buyers, Category Managers, Fulfillment, and Logistics teams.
  • Run and analyze material status reports, communicating risks and problem areas to project teams regularly.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Develop procurement and negotiation strategies based on complex variables and lead contract negotiations.
  • Work closely with supported business areas and functional organizations to ensure stability and cost efficiency of supply.
  • Monitor, communicate, and respond to changing market conditions and business drivers on a global basis to improve supply position and minimize risk.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent job experience.
  • Large Capex project experience.
  • Shipyard or contractor contracts experience.
  • 10+ years’ experience in Procurement, Technical, Engineering, Commercial, or Project Environment.
  • 5+ years’ supervisory experience, including demonstrated ability to coach, develop, and retain talent in a team-based environment.
  • Accreditation from a Supply Chain Industry organization preferred (e.g., CPSM, CPIM).
  • Proficiency in multiple systems/tools such as Oracle, Databases, Microsoft Office, MS Project, etc.
  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiating skills.
  • Self-starter with strong influencing, communication, and facilitative skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and multiple internal customers.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively in a multicultural environment with all levels of internal and external customers.
  • Ability to bring teams together to resolve issues and achieve targets and goals.
  • Knowledge of strategic sourcing and procurement work processes and solutions.
  • Sense of ownership and urgency.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally, up to 20% of the time.
