We are seeking a Patient Services Manager to lead our Patient Services Team in an acute care setting. About the role

This position oversees patient food services in an acute care facility, ensuring dietary needs are met while complying with regulatory standards and achieving patient satisfaction goals.

Responsibilities

  • Establish goals and oversee implementation of patient food services based on medical direction and patient population.
  • Hire, direct, coach, train, and develop patient service team members.
  • Comply with dietary restrictions on special or modified diets to ensure optimal food preferences are met within diet order guidelines.
  • Ensure patient services staff assists in achieving stated patient satisfaction goals.
  • Comply with regulatory standards, including federal, state, and accrediting agencies, while adhering to facility confidentiality, HIPAA regulations, and patient rights policies.
  • Participate in or lead patient satisfaction programs, departmental meetings, and facility-wide Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement programs.

Requirements

  • Associate degree with one (1) year of work experience in food services or a related field, or a bachelor’s degree in food service technology/management or a related field.
  • Certified Dietary Manager certificate, Registered Diet Technician, or Registered Dietitian preferred.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in food service management, preferably in an acute care setting.
  • ServSafe® certification desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, electronic medical records, and diet office systems.
