About the Role
As a member of the site senior leadership team (SLT), this position maintains, supports, and improves existing manufacturing processes, including the preventive maintenance system, equipment calibration system, new equipment, IQ/OQ/PQ, and more. This role leads the manufacturing engineering and maintenance staff and provides support on some Site PMO projects. You will manage the successful completion of projects within boundaries of quality, time, and budget, review and approve complex design concepts, and provide technical direction to staff.
Responsibilities
- Manage a variety of complex issues in associated projects, plans, and schedules, and implement project execution.
- Define the scope of work for the project team.
- Manage, identify, hire, develop, and recognize technical staff, including senior-level engineers and technicians.
- Provide technical direction and design new or improved products or process systems.
- Review and approve the technical feasibility of complex design concepts and analysis of technologies across multiple fields.
- Review and analyze proposals to determine if benefits and applications justify expenditures; recommend proposals to management for funding.
- Prepare project cost estimates up to the multi-million-dollar range and monitor expenditures.
- Set policies and define procedures for staff in accomplishing and documenting projects; provide feedback on overall engineering department policy.
- Approve protocols and support documentation (e.g., engineering change requests, system change forms) to secure project release as a "technical approver."
Requirements
- BS in a relevant engineering field; master’s degree preferred.
- 8-10 years of engineering experience.
- Well-versed in engineering fields with knowledge of GMPs, FDA guidelines, purchasing practices, and process validation.
- Self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to analyze and solve complex problems through innovative thought and experience.
- Ability to design and implement solutions in your area of expertise.
- Involvement in at least one industry interest group.
- Demonstrated effective supervisory skills.

Pay
The estimated base salary for this position is $128,000 - $176,000 annually. Individual pay is based on location, skills, expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
