Position Summary
Matthews International is seeking a HUB Operations Manager for our Stone Mountain, GA location.
Job Responsibilities
- Foster and maintain a culture of safety by promoting safe work practices and addressing safety concerns promptly and effectively.
- Oversee all Hub operations, including receiving, storage, inventory management, picking, loading, and delivery preparation activities.
- Manage Hub operating expenses and labor resources to achieve budget and productivity goals.
- Maintain facility, equipment, and operational processes to ensure a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.
- Partner with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements and operational initiatives.
- Develop, mentor, coach, and train Hub employees to maximize performance, engagement, and career growth.
- Plan, direct, and coordinate the activities of Hub personnel to ensure service, quality, productivity, and safety objectives are achieved.
Qualifications / Requirements
- 7+ years of progressive warehouse, distribution, transportation, or logistics leadership experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of experience leading and developing teams in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Demonstrated experience managing operational performance, labor productivity, safety programs, and budget accountability.
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to travel up to 5%.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
- Leverage Lean, Continuous Improvement, or Operational Excellence experience.
PHYSICAL ASPECTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, reach, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and communicate effectively.
- Frequently required to lift, move, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Must possess the ability to operate effectively within a warehouse environment, including exposure to varying temperatures and moving equipment.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Position requires an early morning schedule, typically beginning at 3:30 a.m., Monday through Friday, with flexibility to support business and operational needs.
