Key Responsibilities
- Safety
- Partner with site Operations, Engineering, and Safety teams to ensure processes are executed safely and in compliance with standards
- Support adherence to PEAK and safety requirements including lockout/tagout (LOTO), equipment safeguards, and safe operating procedures
- Validate that workflows and process changes do not introduce safety risks
- Evaluate process design and material flow to identify ergonomic risks and unsafe work conditions
- Participate in incident and near-miss reviews to support root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Ensure SOPs and standard work documentation reflect safe operating practices
- Digitization
- Analyze operational data to identify bottlenecks, variability, and inefficiencies in receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping processes
- Perform throughput, capacity, and flow analysis using data to support operational decision making
- Build and sustain dashboards, KPIs, and reporting frameworks to track operational performance
- Ensure data accuracy and alignment to a single source of truth for decision making
- Leverage tools such as Power BI, WMS, and other systems to improve visibility and insight
- Operations Design
- Analyze, optimize warehouse layouts, workflows, and material flow processes using industrial engineering principles
- Conduct time and motion studies and work measurement analysis to establish labor standards and productivity benchmarks
- Develop standard work and process documentation to ensure repeatable and consistent execution
- Evaluate material flow and handling methods to reduce non-value-added movement and improve efficiency
- Partner with site leadership to embed standardized operating practices into daily routines
- Support deployments, process changes, and operational improvements across sites
- Ensure processes are executed consistently with defined standards and expectations
- Optimization
- Develop and implement process improvements to reduce waste, cost, and cycle times using Lean or Six Sigma methodologies
- Support capacity planning, space utilization, and throughput modeling initiatives
- Apply root cause analysis, process mapping, and basic statistical techniques to identify improvement opportunities
- Identify and eliminate bottlenecks to improve operational throughput and flow
- Apply structured problem-solving techniques (DMAIC or similar) to resolve process inefficiencies
- Evaluate opportunities to incorporate automation or technology where it adds measurable value
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field preferred
- 5–8+ years of experience in warehouse operations, supply chain operations, or process improvement roles
- Experience with industrial engineering methods such as time studies, process design, and workflow optimization
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma)
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Ability to travel up to ~50%
