Essential Functions
- Build and manage the company’s financial planning and analysis team
- Develop, maintain and manage detailed financial models for forecasting, and long-range planning, specifically adapting to the cyclical and project-based nature of construction
- Conduct variance analysis between actual results, budget, and forecast, identifying key drivers and providing actionable insights to management and leadership
- Maintain and manage comprehensive financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to PCG operations
- Manage the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures to enhance internal controls and operational efficiency
- Manage ad-hoc financial analysis and modeling to support strategic initiatives, investment decisions, ROI analysis, capex, and business development opportunities
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership to optimize working capital, cash flow, and capital expenditures
- Identify and analyze business trends, market conditions, and competitive landscapes relevant to the construction industry
- Act as a trusted financial business partner to corporate departments, branch leadership, and operations controllers, providing financial guidance and support for strategic initiatives
- Support special projects, as assigned by senior management, including M&A due diligence, capital expenditure analysis, and operational efficiency studies
- Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies in construction finance
- Translate business needs into detailed system specifications, functional designs, and technical requirements
- Collaborate with IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure successful system deployments and integrations
- Recommend and implement solutions to streamline processes, improve data accuracy, and enhance operational efficiency
- Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot existing financial systems to ensure optimal performance and data integrity
- Leverage technology to automate reporting and enhance data analysis capabilities
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Required
- A strong understanding of construction financials, accounting principles, percentage-of-completion revenue recognition, WIP, retainage, and job costing
- Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting techniques
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, financial functions, macros)
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- A strong attention to detail and accuracy
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders
- An proactive, self-motivated, improvement-focused, and customer-oriented mindset
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- Master’s degree in business (MBA), accounting (MAcc) or finance (MSF) strongly preferred
- Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive accounting, finance and financial analysis experience, with at least 3-5 years specifically within the construction industry preferred
- CPA, CMA, or MBA designation
Salary Range
Salary range: $99,400 - $133,000 annual salary plus non-guaranteed annualized bonus program.
