About the Role
Contributes to the development of a variety of solutions to meet the business requirements of the company, with an emphasis on support and development of various business applications (JD Edwards, Add-on ERP Applications, Time & Attendance, Shop Floor Applications-Scanning, etc.), as well as proprietary JD Edwards event code. This position is the primary business contact for all financial business applications for analysis, configuration, and development. The role requires the ability to manage work schedules and prioritize requests, projects, and customer requests with limited oversight from upper management. Serves as the primary liaison and business analyst between the business and the IT team across multiple business locations.
Responsibilities
- Provide application support for JD Edwards ERP, Shop Floor Data Collection, Business Analytics, and other business-critical applications as needed.
- Support, develop, and maintain JD Edwards administration functions, including monitoring batch jobs, advanced queries, quick reports, and customizations.
- Provide first/second-level IT support for business troubleshooting, incident resolution, and project requests.
- Support and develop JD Edwards objects, including views, package builds, and development within JD Edwards using events and rules.
- Support and report for annual SOX requirements, including maintaining logs for system errors and data modifications.
- Develop and support new reports and liaise with staff to produce detailed specifications.
- Consult with clients on specific projects to ascertain user requirements and address management or customer concerns regarding system understanding, information gaps, or improperly presented data.
- Review job specifications and discuss program purpose, data input details, and output requirements with clients.
- Prepare specifications, documentation, and flowcharts; write program code (including comments) following department standards and procedures.
- Test and debug programs and review them with clients.
- Safeguard company data by ensuring robust backup systems, procedures, and effective system and data security.
- Capture business needs, understand pain areas, and communicate them to the technical team.
- Lead migrations and consolidations of ERPs.
- Establish professional relationships with each line of business.
Requirements
- Sound analytical and mathematical skills, with the ability to solve critical problems.
- Advanced technological knowledge of structured programming and application design.
- Knowledge of JD Edwards 9.2 (or later).
- Knowledge of One-View Reporting, Orchestrations, BI Publisher, and EDI.
- Knowledge of JD Edwards Event Rule Code and Development.
- Ability to multitask, use initiative, and demonstrate a strong problem-solving background.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (required).
- Extensive JD Edwards functional experience (required).
- 5+ years of JD Edwards ERP experience (preferred).
- Knowledge of IBM Power Systems (preferred).
- Knowledge of SQL; C+ is a plus (preferred).
