About the role

As the Information Systems Manager, you are an integral part of the IT Infrastructure and Operations Team (I&O). This role collaborates closely with the I&O team to troubleshoot intricate IT issues, manage computer system updates, and install hardware and software to meet diverse departmental needs. Leading a team of direct reports, you will drive operational and service management processes to achieve quality, efficiency, and agility objectives within the Windows and Linux server landscapes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team responsible for server infrastructure, including 24/7 monitoring of all server/system infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot and support Windows and Linux servers and systems.
  • Maintain mission-critical servers and systems.
  • Oversee the design, setup, and configuration of infrastructure services.
  • Develop, administer, and monitor security systems.
  • Create and manage operational procedures, records, documents, and technical diagrams to ensure streamlined workflows and documentation accuracy.
  • Oversee and evaluate the productivity and performance of IT staff, conduct performance reviews, and prioritize tasks to optimize team efficiency.
  • Participate in on-call assignments and respond to emergencies for after-hours support.
  • Strategize and develop long-term schedules for timely updates to company computer systems and cybersecurity measures.
  • Investigate new business technologies and IT software solutions to enhance the organization’s computer systems.
  • Implement software programs and innovative technologies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Act as a key liaison for internal business partners, ensuring timely delivery of products and services that support business operations.
  • Undertake other relevant duties assigned by management, maintaining flexibility and adaptability in response to changing organizational needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent years of experience (one year of professional experience for each year of college requested).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting systems as an administrator, analyst, engineer, or related role.
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisor/managerial experience.
  • Experience with cloud-based services, preferably AWS.
  • At least one of the following industry certifications/endorsements is strongly desired: AWS, Azure, Microsoft, Nutanix, and VMWare certifications.

Travel

This position is expected to travel approximately 25% or less. A passport is recommended but not required.
