What You'll Do
- Responsible for building and owning the framework for the day-to-day monitoring and operational support of Snowflake data platform pipelines
- Own and transition the platform operations work into a dedicated, scalable operations practice
- Ensure platform stability and reliability through proactive monitoring, effective incident response, and timely resolution of technical issues
- Own SLA performance by tracking operational metrics, addressing breaches, and driving corrective actions as required
- Oversee end-to-day data operations monitoring and communicate platform performance, risks, and issues to stakeholders
- Maintain and govern operational documentation, including platform design artifacts, configuration standards, and troubleshooting procedures
- Serve as the primary escalation point for operational issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams while coaching and guiding the engineering team
What You'll Bring
- Minimum 6 years of recent experience managing data operations, including data pipeline monitoring and incident response, with strong knowledge of Snowflake
- 2+ years of people-management experience leading technical/engineering teams
- Strong ability to develop and maintain clear, comprehensive technical and operational documentation
- Demonstrated success meeting SLAs and performance metrics, with a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to translate platform insights into actionable improvements
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience supporting strategic planning and cross-functional stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience
- Nice to have: familiarity with Generative and Agentic AI concepts as applied to monitoring and operations tooling
