About the role
Military and Family Life Counselors (MFLCs) are needed to provide counseling services to military service members and their families. Mission Ready Reserve Counselors must be local to Alaska and live within 50 miles of Anchorage.
Responsibilities
- Face-to-face counseling to military service members and their families (individual, couples, family, and children).
- Recommend appropriate referrals and handoffs based on clinical skills to military and community resources.
- Offer presentations on social skills development and social emotional learning.
- Help families and children with challenges specific to the military community, such as transitions, relocations, deployments, and more.
Requirements
- A master’s degree or higher in the Behavioral Health Professions (MS/MSW/MA/PhD).
- A valid independent license in the mental health field from any US state or territory (LCSW, MFT, LPCC, Psychologist).
- A U.S. citizen.
- Able to pass a basic background check, NACI/CNACI clearance, and meet other requirements.
- Live within 50 miles of the site of support in Alaska.

Pay
Pay Range $28/hr. - $50/hr.
