Mfg. Technician I - 2nd Shift (MFGTE006160)
About the role
This will be a second shift position working Monday through Thursday from 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM. Sargent has an immediate opening for a Manufacturing Tech I - 2nd Shift.
Responsibilities
- Ensure safety is the foundation of daily work through vigilance and accountability.
- Set up and operate machinery in support of the production process.
- Perform operations according to specifications on drawings/print and documented procedures.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times.
- Able to use basic hand tools (i.e., utility knife) and machines (i.e., sandblaster, speed lathe).
- Able to read blueprints/engineering drawings.
- Good understanding of quality control principles.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Complete daily production logs as required.
- Complete required equipment maintenance checks.
- Comply with internal quality systems and procedures.
Requirements
- High School education or GED required.
- Must be able to read and write English.
- Follow detailed instructions, do accurate work at a rapid pace, and meet scheduling deadlines.
- Manual dexterity and the ability to carry out complex, repetitive tasks quickly and methodically.
- Available to work overtime as required.
- Work on feet for entire shift.
Preferred Skills, Education & Experience
- Previous mechanical or other manufacturing experience preferred.
- Autoclave and/or Sandblast experience is a plus.
- Experience with measuring equipment.
- Ability to read part drawings (flag notes, dimensions, tolerances).
- Demonstrated leadership and ability to work with minimal supervision.
