MFG Specialist 1 - Night Shift: Olney, IL

About the role

This position will work under limited supervision operating moderately complex equipment in the continuous-operation manufacturing of strand wire into woven chain link fence.

Responsibilities

• Set-ups weaving machine for correct height and selvage of wire fabric
• Retrieves specific gauge and finish of raw material with forklift
• Starts, stops and monitors weaving operation on multiple weaving machines
• Corrects minor problems such as tangles and misweaves and reports major problems to Supervisor or maintenance dept.
• Performs visual inspection on finished material and material in-process for misweaves, poor quality raw material, etc.
• Maintains roll length counter and removes woven wire from take-up roll
• Moves wire to staging area using forklift
• Able to physically lift 75+ lbs. regularly

Requirements

• Desired experience with metal forming machines such as extrusion presses and/or CNC
• Ability to work overtime (including weekends) as needed

Qualifications

Competitive wage starting at $26.50 per hour PLUS a $2.50 shift differential Monday through Thursday Second Shift 330pm - 200am
