Mfg Operator - Day Shift - 12 hour - 7:30am - 7:45pm

Position Summary

Employee would support in various areas. This would include inspection, forming, firing or continuous duties.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Must be able to successfully complete all required job training
• 6 month manufacturing/warehousing experience or equivalent
• CRC Bronze or above Certified Production Technician program completion (preferred)

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Other Required Skills

Ability to read and comprehend work instructions. Ability to add and subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Physical Demands

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms;
• The employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; and talk or hear.
• The employee is required to have 20/20 vision (natural or corrected vision).
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work in typical office conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Safety Requirements/PPE

• Safety shoes must be worn while on NGK property.
• Task appropriate gloves, hearing protection, respirators and eye protection may be required while performing certain job duties.
