About the Role

Plans, designs, and constructs manufacturing facilities and related structures. Determines facility specifications, including analysis and evaluation of location, material resources, and structural design. Resolves technical problems and recommends production improvements.

This role requires working knowledge and skills to perform analytical, scientific, or operational processes. You will apply experience and skills to complete assigned work within your area of expertise, following standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods, with a moderate degree of supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical support to engineers during the design of manufacturing processes for a production facility.
• Assists in the development of layouts or floor plans.
• Conducts tests and troubleshoots equipment.
• Documents test procedures and results.
• Solves routine technical problems.

Requirements

• Vocational/Technical Training Degree and 2-5 years' experience OR equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's Degree.
• Technical training preferred.
• Oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Detail-oriented.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Experience in engineering support, manufacturing engineering, test execution, and test documentation.

Physical Requirements

• Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
• Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.
• May need to stand for long periods of time.
• Work may require exposure to changing climate conditions and/or operating machinery, both inside and outside.
• May be requested to work a different shift.
• This position is Safety-Sensitive.
