About the role
The Molding Manufacturing Operator is an entry-level position with little or no prior experience required. Responsible for producing, assembling, inspecting, and packing parts according to work instructions for each assigned task or machine. Maintains all required paperwork and documentation to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and ISO 13485 standards.
Responsibilities

- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Perform visual inspections to ensure products meet quality standards.
- Report data (e.g., scrap reports) and coordinate with process technicians for product deficiencies.
- Separate parts from runners by visually examining for flow lines, long gates, shorts, splaying, flash, etc.; trim and clip excess plastic as needed.
- Retrieve part bins under injection molding machines and inspect per inspection criteria.
- Package parts in bags, totes, or boxes as applicable.
- Complete paperwork accurately to meet GMP standards.
- Be flexible and promote teamwork.
- Pack and pull samples for customers/QC.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support Viant’s Vision, Mission, and Values.
Expectations

- Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems.
- Master all requirements of Operator I to advance to Operator II.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- No prior experience necessary.
Skills & Competencies
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to perform repetitive work.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow specification sheets.
- Basic mathematical skills to understand variation.
- Ability to use measuring devices and hand tools.
Physical Requirements
- Light work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently.
- Lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects.
- Excellent vision and hand-eye coordination.
- Extended periods of bending, lifting, standing, and sitting.
- Significant use of hands.
- Frequently required to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Must be able and willing to wear personal protective equipment, including:
- Protective eyewear
- Hair net
- Protective gowning (lab coat, hood)

Pay
Rates starting at $17.00–$21.00/hour (based on experience). On Demand Pay: Access your pay as soon as you’ve earned it.
Schedule
3rd shift, Monday – Friday (10 PM – 6:30 AM).
