- Independently set up and perform laser tracker measurements for large hardware, tooling, and alignment verification activities.
- Assemble and align optical test sets to defined requirements using released procedures, hardware lists, and reference features.
- Operate interferometers to collect wavefront or surface data per released instructions and verify setup readiness before data collection.
- Execute hexapod routines provided by Optical Engineering and verify that the system is in the correct state before and after routine execution.
- Perform troubleshooting of metrology setups and results, including setup stability, target placement, datum alignment, line-of-sight issues, repeatability concerns, and obvious data anomalies.
- Maintain clear and complete documentation of setup conditions, hardware identifiers, configuration status, and measurement results.
- Escalate suspect results, setup issues, or routine execution problems with sufficient detail to support efficient resolution.
- Support continuous improvement of setup practices, work instructions, and test readiness within the assigned area.
- Review job requirements before setup and identify likely configuration, alignment, or measurement risks that should be addressed before data collection begins.
