Metrology Technician II -Tempe Swing Shift

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Perform calibration and certification of electronic measuring and test equipment according to technical specifications, ensuring traceability to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
  • Calibrate and repair equipment such as Multimeters, frequency counter, timers, oscilloscopes, pressure devices.
  • Calibrate standards used in calibrations and maintain equipment to established performance standards.
  • Record maintenance activities in CMS, generate reports on results of tests, conditions of equipment and/or systems, repairs, and preventive maintenance performed, and prepare necessary documentation as required by customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Complete all other duties as assigned.
  • Utilizes common laboratory measuring, calibrating, and test equipment.
  • Applies advanced skills in area of specialization.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

  • A high school diploma with 3+ years of experience in the field, OR an associate’s degree in engineering technology or a relevant field with 3 years of experience.
  • Working knowledge of one or more of the following: voltage, current, resistance, capacitance, time and frequency, signal conditioning, blueprint and drawings, dimensional tooling and hand tools, pressure controllers, pressure dead weight testers, force gages and load cells, etc.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office software, including Excel.
  • US citizenship is required for this role.
  • Ability to work swing shift from 2pm - 10pm.

Preferred Qualifications

  • IndySoft, Fluke Met/Team, Fluke Met/Track and Met/Cal experience a plus+.
  • Proficient using Microsoft technology, including Excel.
  • PMEL, TMDE or calibration school a plus+.
