About the Role

As a Metrology Technician supporting manufacturing at the Glasgow, DE Siemens Healthineers site, you will be part of a team ensuring compliance with site calibrations and company standards, solving complex problems, and supporting processes to maintain a world-class manufacturing site supplying global product needs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform calibrations of commercial and R&D equipment.
  • Process documentation of change requests and outside vendor data.
  • Maintain a safe work environment, comply with OSHA policies, and support safety initiatives.
  • Complete electronic logs while utilizing Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Read and understand schematics, drawings, and wiring diagrams.
  • Work with vendors to specify and order necessary parts for jobs and schedule service.
  • Conduct pressure/vacuum testing, torque testing, temperature testing, and pipetting/pipette testing.
  • Calibrate stand-alone units as well as integrated assets on manufacturing lines.
  • Work with internal and external customers to schedule calibrations.
  • Troubleshoot testing equipment.

Physical & Work Environment

This role involves working across the Glasgow, Delaware site. You should be comfortable wearing proper PPE. Physical demands include standing, squatting, climbing ladders, and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience with Lean business systems and methodologies such as TPM, 5S, and Standard Work.
  • 3-5 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Position will require occasional weekend overtime.
  • Experience with basic hand tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using a CMM system to maintain data (SAP/Cerdaac).

Pay

The base pay range for this position is $64,060 - $88,088. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
