Metrology Process Technician
Job Description
The Metrology Process Technician supports engineering and production through defect detection, metrology data analysis, and process optimization. This role drives yield improvement and process optimization initiatives, providing data-driven insights and machine learning applications.
Key Responsibilities
Perform defect detection, classification, and disposition activities to support engineering and production teams.
Analyze metrology and inspection data to identify trends, root causes, and process deviations.
Partner with engineering to drive yield improvement and process optimization initiatives.
Provide timely and accurate disposition of inspection results to support production decision-making.
Support the development and maintenance of visual defect standards and work instructions.
Deliver training to operations teams on defect recognition, metrology tools, and updated procedures.
Develop and revise work instructions to reflect current processes, tools, and inspection criteria.
Monitor model performance and collaborate with engineering teams to improve model effectiveness over time.
Document model performance metrics and validation results.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with automated inspection systems and defect review tools.
Exposure to machine learning applications in manufacturing or defect detection.
Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and data visualization tools.
Ability to interpret engineering data and collaborate cross-functionally with engineering teams.
Experience developing work instructions, visual aids, or training materials.

Pay Range
This role in Livermore, California pays between $25.80 and $33.86 per hour, depending on your experience, skills, and background. Pay may vary in other locations.
