Metrology/Laser Tracker Technician Overview
Become a vital leader in our team as a Metrology/Laser Tracker Technician, where you'll take charge of planning, organizing, and overseeing the work of survey parties. Your expertise will guide precise surveying efforts to determine accurate locations, measurements, and elevations crucial for construction and mechanical projects. Safety is paramount in this role, as any lapses in performing essential duties could pose risks to our team and the broader community.
Pay Range
$25-$40/hour
Paid WEEKLY
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Utilize laser tracker to align components to machine coordinates and tolerances as well as for reverse engineering.
- Read and interpret client drawings to identify appropriate inspection methods and geometric dimensioning/specifications.
- Perform inspection checks at various stages.
- Provide support to Metrology and Industrial Engineering.
- Must be able to provide hands on support and guidance to all field operations as needed to complete job or task.
- Provide technical and non-technical guidance to team members to foster career and personal development.
- The ability to work overtime and regular, punctual attendance is required.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Laster Tracker, preferably with Faro Cam2 software, but no required.
- Must be familiar with blueprint readings, industrial alignment, optical surveying, and AutoCAD.
Physical Demands
- Must have the ability to lift over 50 pounds occasionally.
- Must be able to climb to heights up to 300 feet.
- Must be able to work in extreme environments and be able to adapt to different situations as required.
- Excellent vision or corrective vision.
- Requires a large amount of walking on the job site when in the field.
- Requires a considerable amount of overtime/weekend work.
