Metrology Equipment Technician

About the role

The Metrology Equipment Technician will support sustaining a clean room environment while prioritizing equipment recovery and troubleshooting, perform Preventative Maintenance (PMs), and run routine weekly equipment qualifications. They will perform equipment recovery, root cause troubleshooting, and create and perform equipment improvement projects. Responsibilities include updating, creating, and following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The role requires collaboration with supervisors, equipment engineering, manufacturing, and tool vendors to prioritize work tasks and achieve company goals. Documentation of steps taken to resolve equipment issues is essential. Ability to sit, stand, walk for extended periods, and bend or flex in awkward positions for equipment repairs is required.

Responsibilities

• Work in the fab to support troubleshooting and maintenance activities with a mindset toward root cause analysis, standardization, and 6S.
• Willingness to work in a 24/7 high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Walk extended periods in the fab to be physically present during equipment recoveries.
• Perform Preventative Maintenance (PM), Change Point Management (CPM), and System Maintenance following standard operating procedures to ensure equipment, processes, and systems run effectively.
• Conduct failure analysis and follow scripts to troubleshoot and anticipate future failures.
• Monitor equipment and processes in their current state and proactively look for ways to improve processes.
• Work well in a team environment and effectively communicate throughout the organization.
• Collaborate closely with supervisors, equipment engineering, manufacturing, and tool vendors to prioritize work tasks and help achieve goals.

Requirements

• 2 years of college or technical school preferred.
• Semiconductor equipment maintenance experience is a plus.
• Metrology experience is a plus.
• Attention to detail.
• Initiative and continuous improvement mindset.
• Basic computer skills.
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to use and operate basic hand tools.

Schedule

C Shift – Thursday through Saturday (6:45am – 7:15pm) with alternating Wednesdays.

Pay

The current base salary range for this role is between $20.50 - $46.00/hour. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications, and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on organizational and individual performance.
