Responsibilities
- Read residential and industrial gas meters using company-provided technology
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must be dependable and punctual
- Demonstrate ability to be accurate in work product
- Communication and teamwork skills
- Demonstrate customer focus skills
- Valid driver’s license and demonstrated safe driving
- Demonstrate ability to work safely
- Self-starter, ability to work independently and deliver results
Preferred skills
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to read maps and field routes, including navigation
Physical Work Activities
- Ability to bend, squat, crawl, and climb
- Ability to lift heavy objects
- Ability to use hands
- Ability to work in various outdoor weather conditions
- Ability to drive a company vehicle
- Ability to walk up to twenty miles per day
Safety-sensitive position
This position is deemed safety-sensitive under the U.S. Department of Transportation Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration’s regulations. Employees in this position are subject to drug and alcohol testing, including pre-employment testing, random testing, reasonable suspicion testing and post-accident testing. PHMSA-required drug tests include testing for marijuana. The use of marijuana, or testing positive for marijuana, is disqualifying and will lead to removal from performing safety-sensitive functions as well as disciplinary action.
Pay
The base pay for this role is $25.41/hour.
