About the role
OmniSource, a Steel Dynamics, Inc. affiliate, seeks a Grader to inspect and classify incoming metal materials, direct and assist customers on site, and handle material sorting and movement while maintaining strict safety compliance.
Responsibilities
- Grade and inspect incoming metals materials
- Direct customers throughout the facility
- Assist customers as needed
- Sort and move materials as needed
- Comply with all safety guidelines
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Clear understanding and adherence to safety regulations
- Ability to work in all types of weather conditions
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more repetitively on a regular basis
- Ability to stand for long periods of time on a daily basis
- Self-motivated team player, eager and willing to learn new skills
- Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
