Position Summary
Samsung Austin Semiconductor is a world leader in advanced semiconductor technology. This role involves working alongside talented engineers and technicians in an advanced manufacturing environment.
Role And Responsibilities
- Maintains the wafer fabrication equipment and responds to issues
- Qualifies new manufacturing equipment
- Schedules equipment qualifications and downtime with manufacturing
- Analyzes data using software to identify trends and make decisions about processing product
- Makes adjustments when equipment parameters exceed limits and monitors process parameters during tool maintenance
- Executes inline changes (CPM) to the process or equipment
- Communicates technical information through presentations
- Revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Develop improved processes to enhance capability
- Monitor operations costs and develop cost reduction projects
Skills And Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Material Science, or Computer Science (new graduates need a 3.0 GPA or better)
- Experience scripting in Python, VBA, or equivalent language
- Understanding of statistical methods
- Change Point Management experience and knowledge of Lean, TPS, or 5S principles
- Structured problem solving (8D, 7-step, etc.)
- Software data analysis (Spotfire, JMP, Matlab, etc.)
- Troubleshooting equipment or process failures
- Ability to wear clean room suit and PPE, lift up to 35 lbs, and work in a tight, FAB environment for extended periods
- Ability to discern audible alarms
- Ability to support and/or work shift duties in a 24x7 manufacturing environment
Pay And Benefits
The current base salary range for this role is between $70,480 - $179,090. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications, and experience. Total compensation includes a competitive benefits package, which may include MBO bonuses based on company, division, and individual performance.
