About the role

The main focus of the DX Engineer in the Metals Department at Samsung Austin Semiconductor is to update how data and tools are handled on the fab floor. The engineer builds and maintains data‑ingestion pipelines and interaction tools that the department relies on, ensuring security, stability, and minimal manual intervention. In addition to system maintenance, the role works directly with equipment and process engineers to identify improvement opportunities, turning pain points into automated tools that catch quality issues faster and improve overall yield. Millions of data points are collected every second, and the DX Engineer makes sense of that data and wrangles it into usable form for process and equipment owners.
