Metallurgical Engineer

About the role

This is a hands-on technical role focused on optimizing melting, casting processes, and product quality for high-performance copper tubing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering or similar, Materials Science/Engineering, Mining Science, Chemical Engineering, etc.
• Required experience & education
• Experience supervising and optimizing induction melting, refining, and degassing processes for copper
• Experience managing continuous casting process control, including melt temperature, mold design, cooling systems, and pull speed parameters
• Experience performing defect analysis (segregation, porosity, cracking, etc.) and implementing effective corrective actions to improve yield and product quality
• Experience conducting comprehensive material testing and characterization, including: Metallography, Spectrographic analysis, Electrical conductivity testing, Mechanical property evaluation
