Metallurgical Engineer

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with product and process control procedures
  • Investigate and resolve manufacturing quality issues
  • Support development and optimization of products, equipment, and processes
  • Collaborate with operations teams, shift leaders, and production personnel
  • Participate in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
  • Support operational needs during off-shift or weekend schedules when required

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Metallurgy, Metallurgical Engineering, Material Science, or Chemical Engineering
  • 1+ year of related engineering or internship experience
  • Understanding of metallurgy, thermodynamics, material processing, and engineering calculations
  • Able to work within manufacturing operations environments
  • U.S. work authorization meeting ITAR requirements

Preferred Skills

  • Aluminum or metals industry experience
  • Leverage Lean Manufacturing knowledge
  • Experience with AS9100 or IATF16949 quality systems
  • Statistical analysis and manufacturing process improvement experience
