Metal Handler - 1st Shift

About the role

Responsible for all metal finishing processes and ensuring that all required processes are completed to produce parts that meet quality and ISO standards.

Essential Functions

  • Deburring, grinding, flatten, time-save, blasting, in-process cleaning of surgical cases and trays
  • Inspect products to blueprint specifications
  • Perform visual inspections for burrs
  • Utilize and complete documentation/paperwork as required
  • Understand and follow policy and procedures
  • Ensure general maintenance and upkeep of equipment
  • Comply with ISO policies and procedures
  • Troubleshoot problems associated with equipment, tooling, and processes
  • Occasionally assemble work instruments
  • Assist in other departments as needed
  • Once employee demonstrates competency in position, he/she may be required to train others in similar roles
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, work quality, and to reduce costs; identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs

Experience / Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred

Skills

  • Good hand and eye coordination
  • Ability to read blueprints, calipers, and micrometers

Work environment: Work performed in a production environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time (for Maintenance & Receiving only). The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high, in some areas.

Pay

  • Salary Minimum: 40,000
  • Salary Maximum: 45,000
