Metal Finisher – Precision Manufacturing (Direct Hire)

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Metal Finisher to join a precision manufacturing team in Poughkeepsie, NY.

Responsibilities

• Remove burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections from machined parts using hand and power tools
• Clean components using approved cleaning methods and equipment
• Inspect finished parts for defects, dimensional accuracy, and surface quality
• Document inspection results and communicate any quality concerns
• Handle and store parts properly to prevent damage
• Package completed components according to customer and shipping requirements
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Support quality initiatives and continuous improvement efforts

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience with metal finishing, deburring, cleaning, inspection, or machine shop operations preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify small defects or irregularities
• Good manual dexterity and ability to work with small, precision components
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and inspection equipment
• Able to follow work instructions and quality standards
• Strong work ethic and commitment to producing high-quality work
• A high school diploma or equivalent required
• Manufacturing, machining, or technical training experience is a plus
