Responsibilities
- Read and understand work orders, fabrication drawings, and blueprints
- Read construction plans and specifications
- Accurately measure and cut materials
- Maintain a clean and neat work area
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Ability to listen well, follow instructions carefully, and communicate effectively
- Accurate and detail-oriented with good mathematical skills
- Ability to work with shop tools and machines safely and effectively
- Self-motivated, able to work consistently and productively under minimal supervision
- Ability to work full-time plus overtime as necessary
- Capable of working in a shop environment with noise, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting, and/or moving material up to fifty (50) pounds or more
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Can work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to understand and follow detailed instructions/directions
