Metal Fabricator

About the role

The Fabricator plays a crucial role within the Metal Fabrication team at CREO Industrial Arts. They are responsible for interpreting drawings, manufacturing, and finishing projects to meet the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Cut, fit, weld, and grind various metal extrusions and sheet metal to plans.
• Finalize and finish the assembly of products to the required level of fit and finish.
• Able to work independently or as part of a team to complete projects on time.
• Engage in various manufacturing activities such as interpreting plans, cutting, assembling, modifying parts, installing, prototyping, and sampling.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills in all areas of fabrication.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of previous metal fabrication experience.
• Aluminum MIG/TIG welding experience; Steel is acceptable.
• Knowledge and use of hand, power, and basic fabrication tools (Sanders, Grinders, Drills, Saws, etc.).
• Basic shop math skills (decimals, fractions, equations).
• Experience working from shop drawings and verbal instructions.

Desirable Qualifications

• WABO/AWS certification.
• Experience with power sheet metal tools (Brake, Punch, Shear).
