Metal Fabricator and Mechanical Assembly - Battery and Solar

Key Responsibilities

• Fabricate metal parts and assemblies used in solar and energy storage systems according to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Cook with and coordinate with engineers and electrical fabricators.
• Operate and maintain metal fabrication equipment, including but not limited to power tools, welders, grinders, shears, and press brakes.
• Fit, weld, and assemble metal components using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
• Inspect and test finished products for conformance to specifications, ensuring high standards of quality and safety.
• Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment and keep the work area clean and organized.
• Assist with ordering and inventory management of electrical components and supplies.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures and adhere to OSHA regulations and best practices.

Qualifications and Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical/trade school certification preferred.
• 23 years of experience in metal fabrication, welding, or a solar, energy related field.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to operate and maintain metalworking tools and equipment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and maneuver heavy materials (up to 50 lbs).
• Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment, including standing, bending, and kneeling for extended periods.
• Periodic field work.

Compensation and Benefits

$50,000.00 per year/ $ 24 rate per hour (Non Exempt)
Performance bonus: 10% of Base Salary
Vacation: 1 Week and Sick hours
