Metal Fabricator and Layout Specialist

Responsibilities

• Measure dimensions of completed products or workpieces to verify conformance to specifications
• Operate Welding Equipment
• Read work orders or other instructions to determine product specifications or material requirements
• Review blueprints or other instructions to determine operations methods of sequences
• Operate cutting, punching, grinding, bending equipment
• Lay out, mark and assemble parts and structures
• Smooth metal surfaces or edges
• Rewhape metal workpieces to established specifications

Requirements

• Metal Fabrication, layout, etc.
• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their capabilities, uses, repair and maintenance
• Ability to read prints and calculate measurements
• Sawing, Punching, Bending, Drilling, Assembly
• Welding (Mig)
• Ability to use a Plasma Machine a plus

Experience

• 2 years Metal Fabrication and Welding experience and/or equivalent training and education
• Experience using hand tools, drills, screw guns, etc.
