About the role

Johnson County Community College is searching for an Adjunct to teach at least one section of Metal and Silversmithing–I in the Fall semester of 2026, with potential additional class assignments in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Metal and Silversmithing–I course
  • Teach additional classes as assigned

Requirements

  • MFA in Metalsmithing
  • 3-5 years of teaching experience at a college level
  • Demonstrated exhibition record or record of relevant field experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary and traditional approaches to Metalsmithing
  • Knowledge and familiarity with Metalsmithing studio equipment, techniques and processes
  • Ability to work with students of varying skill levels

Qualifications

  • Unofficial transcripts required for all Adjunct faculty and Faculty positions

Pay

Starting Salary Range: AJCR $1,262-$1,404 per credit hour and in accordance with the adjunct table and determined based on relevant years of work experience provided on application and resume.

Schedule

Work Schedule, Hours per week: Monday & Wednesday, 3:00-6:00 PM
