MES Software Engineer

About the role

SK AX USA, Inc. is a leading global IT service provider and a subsidiary of SK Group, one of South Korea’s largest conglomerates. Our U.S. operations focus on IT consulting, infrastructure support, smart factory solutions, and digital innovation. We are seeking a driven MES Software Engineer to join our growing digital team and support our MES integration efforts at key manufacturing sites across the U.S.

Key Responsibilities

• Write and optimize SQL queries and procedures for MES customization.
• Implement site-specific configurations to support smart factory processes and network-wide functionality.
• Collaborate with IT development teams to integrate MES data with middleware and enterprise systems.
• Build Advantage Architect workflows and support SQL Server stored procedures.
• Conduct unit and system testing, including documentation and deployment support.
• Provide second-level production support for MES operations, including outages and process failures.
• Offer emergency support on-call, including off-hours and holidays.
• Work directly with client teams to ensure operational continuity and satisfaction.
• Coordinate with management, users, and analysts to gather requirements and ensure MES solutions meet business needs.
• Maintain technical documentation, including system configurations and test plans.
• Contribute to ongoing MES enhancements and future-proofing strategies.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in IT system integration, solution development, or MES operations.
• Skills: Understanding of MES or production systems in a manufacturing environment. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Strong documentation, testing, and troubleshooting skills. Proficiency in Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo) is a plus. Fluent in English or Korean (reading, writing, speaking, and listening).

Schedule

8 hours/day | On-call support as needed (including holidays and off-hours)
