About the Role
This opportunity is with a global leader in materials science and advanced technology manufacturing. You will join a team responsible for standardizing and supporting MES solutions that connect shop floor systems to enterprise IT, providing visibility into how a major manufacturer runs its plants at scale. This is a well-established organization with significant ongoing investment in its manufacturing IT infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Define, develop, implement, and support standardized MES solutions across a global manufacturing environment
- Establish best practices and develop the architecture for manufacturing systems
- Design, implement, and support manufacturing systems in line with standard IT practices
- Analyze business and systems requirements by engaging with internal and external customers
- Translate business goals and objectives into technical solutions
- Serve as technical lead on global projects, ensuring work is completed on schedule
- Document and communicate impacts to manufacturing systems
- Work across ERP, MES, and shop floor controls to support a complete plant solution
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Systems Management, IT, or a related field
- 7 or more years of experience with object-oriented programming languages such as .NET and C#
- Experience working with IT systems in a 24/7 manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of source code management systems and relational databases
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Siemens Opcenter, including modeling and Designer
- Experience with Git, TFVC, or SVN specifically
- Experience with AJAX, T-SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, or SQL Server BI components
- Experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Angular
- Experience working in a Scrum or Agile team
- Strong leadership and project management background
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, including translating between business and technology needs
Pay
Up to $80.31/hr
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm
- No overtime anticipated
- Up to 25 percent travel based on project need
