MES/SCADA Application Support Engineer

About the role

We re seeking a highly motivated and experienced Application Support Engineer with 3+ years of experience to join our dynamic Manufacturing Systems & Applications team. This position is ideal for a candidate with experience supporting Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES/MOM), SCADA platforms, and integrated manufacturing applications in a production environment, with a strong focus on troubleshooting, system reliability, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• • Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for Siemens Opcenter MOM and Ignition SCADA applications.
  • Monitor manufacturing application performance and proactively identify issues before they impact production.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application, interface, and data-related incidents within SLA targets.
  • Analyze recurring issues and participate in root cause analysis activities.
  • Support major incident recovery activities and plant production needs.
  • Maintain incidents, problem, and change records within the IT service management platform.
• Siemens Opcenter MOM Support
• Support production workflows, electronic work instructions, genealogy, traceability, and manufacturing execution processes.
• Configure and maintain master data, workflows, production models, and application settings.
• Affiliate with application deployments, upgrades, patches, and testing activities.
• Ignition SCADA Support
• Support and maintain Ignition Gateway, Vision, and Perspective applications.
• Develop and modify HMI screens, reports, dashboards, alarms, and historian configurations.
• Monitor SCADA performance and resolve communication issues.
• Support data collection and visualization requirements for manufacturing operations.
• Change & Release Management
• Participate in application deployments and release activities.
• Execute testing plans for system updates and enhancements.
• Ensure proper documentation and validation of changes.
• Support production cutovers and post-deployment monitoring.
• Continuous Improvement
• Identify opportunities to improve application stability and operational efficiency.
• Participate in Kaizen and digital manufacturing initiatives.
• Recommend automation opportunities to reduce manual activities.
• Develop and maintain support documentation, SOPs, and knowledge articles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 3-5 years of application support experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience supporting MES/MOM, SCADA, or manufacturing applications.
• Experience with production support, incident management, and troubleshooting.
• Experience working with 24x7 manufacturing operations.
