MES & Manufacturing Systems Functional Analyst

About the role

We are seeking a full-time Functional Analyst for MES at ProAmpac, a global leader in flexible packaging solutions. The position involves supporting and enhancing MES solutions, analyzing manufacturing workflows, and facilitating stakeholder workshops.

Responsibilities

• Support, maintain, and enhance existing MES solutions across a multi-site environment, focusing on production tracking, quality, and traceability.
• Analyze and document complex manufacturing workflows to translate operational needs into clear functional specifications.
• Support the critical data flows between MES, ERP, and industrial automation platforms (SCADA/IIoT).
• Participate in the configuration and deployment of new MES functionalities, ensuring they align with our broader digital transformation goals.
• Define test scenarios and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure system changes meet floor requirements.
• Lead workshops and discussions with plant managers and shop-floor teams to identify optimization opportunities.

Requirements

• Experience: 7+ years in MES, manufacturing systems, or industrial IT environments.
• Functional Expertise: Proven track record in requirements definition, process mapping, and functional analysis.
• Manufacturing Depth: Strong understanding of shop-floor operations and production lifecycles.
• Communication: Ability to bridge the gap between technical developers and non-technical operational leaders.
• Problem Solving: A structured, analytical approach to troubleshooting complex system interactions.
• Technical Assets: Experience with Inductive Automation Ignition is a major plus. Familiarity with ERP integration, CMMS, or QMS. Knowledge of SCADA, IIoT, or industrial data analytics. Familiarity with Agile delivery, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma.
• Industry Background: Experience in packaging or high-volume process manufacturing.
