Merrill Advisor Development Program Financial Solutions Advisor Trainee: SW Military and Sommerset Rd

About the role

This position is part of the Merrill Advisor Development Program (ADP) and serves as a Financial Solutions Advisor Trainee at Bank of America. It is located at SW Military and Sommerset Rd. The program is designed to help you become a core Merrill Financial Advisor through various stages of development.

Responsibilities

• Obtaining Securities Industry licenses including SIE, Series 7, and Series 66 exams.
• Learning foundational skills for advising clients, including relationship building, financial planning, and providing guidance.
• Assisting in delivering core banking, investment solutions, and client care services in a financial center.
• Transitioning to a local Merrill Wealth Management office and building a portfolio of affluent and high net worth clients.
• Continuing to develop and refine your skills to eventually become a core Merrill Financial Advisor.

Requirements

• Successfully completes the Securities Industry licenses (SIE, Series 7, and Series 66) exams.
• Proven ability to set and achieve personal and professional goals.
• Comfortable in a sales role, capable of nurturing strong relationships with prospective clients.
• Effective communicator with clear and confident interpersonal skills.
• Strong collaboration and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to manage complexity, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Adaptable and willing to learn on the job, incorporating relevant regulatory due diligence into daily activities.
• Bilingual in Spanish (required).

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in finance, business, or a related field.
• Experience in the financial service industry or a sales environment where goals were consistently met or exceeded.
• Experience in assessing client needs, identifying/recommending solutions, and building/managing client relationships.

Skills

• Strong computer skills and the ability to multitask in a demanding environment.
