Mergers & Acquisitions: Shareholder Activism
Cooley LLP seeks attorneys with 4-7 years of experience in M&A and corporate governance to join their M&A team with a focus on Shareholder Activism Defense.

Responsibilities

• Advising public companies on securities law, Delaware law, and corporate governance issues related to shareholder activism and takeover defense.
• Working closely with senior partners on high-stakes matters.
• Developing client relationships.
• Contributing to the strategic direction of the firm's shareholder activism defense team.

Requirements

• A strong background in public company M&A.
• Expertise in securities law, Delaware law, and corporate governance.
• Hands-on experience advising public companies in shareholder activism and takeover defense.
• A high level of academic achievement from a nationally recognized law school.

Qualifications

• Experience in M&A and corporate governance.
• Strong academic credentials from a nationally recognized law school.

Skills

• Securities law expertise.
• Delaware law knowledge.
• Corporate governance understanding.
• Experience in shareholder activism and takeover defense.

Pay

The expected annual pay range for this position is $310,000-$420,000. Final offer amount will be dependent on geographic location, applicable experience and skillset of the candidate.
