Mergers & Acquisitions: Shareholder Activism
Cooley LLP seeks attorneys with 4-7 years of experience in M&A and corporate governance to join their M&A team with a focus on Shareholder Activism Defense.
Responsibilities
- Advising public companies on securities law, Delaware law, and corporate governance issues related to shareholder activism and takeover defense.
- Working closely with senior partners on high-stakes matters.
- Developing client relationships.
- Contributing to the strategic direction of the firm's shareholder activism defense team.
Requirements
- A strong background in public company M&A.
- Expertise in securities law, Delaware law, and corporate governance.
- Hands-on experience advising public companies in shareholder activism and takeover defense.
- A high level of academic achievement from a nationally recognized law school.
Qualifications
- Experience in M&A and corporate governance.
- Strong academic credentials from a nationally recognized law school.
Skills
- Securities law expertise.
- Delaware law knowledge.
- Corporate governance understanding.
- Experience in shareholder activism and takeover defense.

Pay
The expected annual pay range for this position is $310,000-$420,000. Final offer amount will be dependent on geographic location, applicable experience and skillset of the candidate.
