A prestigious AmLaw 50 firm is seeking a mid-level associate to join its Los Angeles office, focusing on high-level mergers and acquisitions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing complex M&A transactions, from initial structuring through closing. This is an excellent opportunity to take on significant responsibility and develop within a nationally recognized M&A team.
Key Qualifications
- 4–6 years of M&A experience in a sophisticated law firm environment
- Proficiency in drafting and negotiating definitive and ancillary transaction documents
- Proven ability to manage client relationships and coordinate deal processes
- Experience supervising junior attorneys and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Strong academic credentials from a top-tier law school required
- Admission to the California Bar preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support private and public M&A transactions across various industries
- Draft and negotiate transaction documents, disclosure schedules, and closing deliverables
- Manage and drive complex deal timelines and client communications
- Cook up and coordinate with tax, regulatory, and other specialists across the firm
- Mentor junior associates and contribute to team development
Pay
$310,000–$390,000 (DOE)
