Mercury Marine: Human Resources Intern - Manufacturing Operations

About the role

As part of the talented Human Resources Operations team, you will collaborate with a variety of people on projects and work that contributes to the success of the Manufacturing Operations teams. This role provides an opportunity to gain practical experience and insights into HR Operations, with exposure to multiple disciplines of Human Resources. Responsibilities

• Explore key areas of Human Resources by being exposed to work in recruiting, analytics, benefits, compensation, talent management, employee & labor relations, and learning & development.
• Complete a meaningful project and present your results to leadership.
• Support key processes by partnering with experienced HR leaders and propose and execute ideas for improvement.
• Perform various administrative tasks in support of the HR department.
• Organize, schedule, and execute employee engagement activities.

Requirements

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program with a major in Human Resources or a similar field.
• Minimum second semester sophomore status with 48 completed credits.
• Availability to work full-time (40 or more hours per week) during May through December of 2027, with the potential to continue part-time during the school year.
• Ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality.
• Experience with Microsoft Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Skilled in effective research tactics with strong organization skills.
• Must convey a helpful and professional image to internal and external customers.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and engaged learner.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $27.50 per hour. The actual hourly rate offered will vary depending on factors including year in school/credits earned, degree, job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.
